Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Came home from work today and found that panda pops had died. No sign of illness she was a lovely happy piggy.A very unexpected sudden death,as it is called. Will miss her a lot even though she was only with us for 3 1/2 weeks out of her 4 months on this world. Now in piggy heaven with my piggy Gwen....

We rescued Bill when he was 10 months old from a rescue centre.Affectionatly known to me as 'my baby Billy'.The only dog i have ever known that you could do anything with.He never chased the rabbits,cat or guinea pigs- in fact ,he had a special bond with Bob.He was super hyperactive very protective and we loved him to bits.We gave him 3 extra years that he may not have had.Those first ten months of his life hold the reason his life was so short.He was spoilt with affection,he loved us dearly and we miss himso much.The house is quiet without him bounding about like an elephant.
So Bill,....i'm so sorry things happened as they did...it was no-ones fault,not ours,not yours,we still love you and always will.I just hope you are at peace now,and truly free.

Our giant piggy Coco-Pops sadly died this evening at 10.15pm,with myself,my husband and our dog Millie ,comforting him.He was our gentle giant.My husband rescued him along with our rabbit.

Died unexpectedly on 5th June 2009 from a suspected UTI. Life long pals with Scruff who herself today is now fighting for life .
